What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Accountant position at Sagamore Real Estate?
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably real estate accounting with proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus will be accounting for Sagamore Apartments, a multifamily fund located in Clearwater, FL
- Primary duties will include monthly P&L’s, Balance Sheet and tracking shareholder returns for Sagamore Apartments
- Work with Sagamore Apartments auditor to assist in the completion of the audit annually
- Secondary focus will be accounting for Sagamore Holdings (investment entity) and Sagamore Real Estate (provides asset management services)
- Sagamore Real Estate is the employer and operating entity for all asset/property management services
- Sagamore Real Estate duties would include P&L’s, Balance Sheet monthly
- Sagamore Holdings is an investment vehicle that has investments in Sagamore Apartments and other investments in Pinellas County
- Sagamore Holdings duties would include P&L’s and Balance Sheet quarterly
- Preparation of 1099’s, K-1s and W-2s where applicable
Requirements
- CPA qualified
- Role could be completed with an average of 15-20 hours a week
- Potential for full time as company expands
- In office preferred. Remote possible, but travel to Clearwater couple times a year may be necessary
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Salary is negotiable with bonus eligibility
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
