JOB TITLE: Assembler I
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly
PAY: Starting at $18 per hour

Purpose and Scope: As an Assembler 1 at Sage Oil Vac, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient assembly and packaging of crates, pallets, and ancillary components for our industry-leading oil evacuation systems. Your attention to detail, precision, and commitment to quality will contribute directly to the overall success of our operations.

Assembly of Crates and Pallets
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
- Skillfully assembly crates and pallets using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Ensure that each assembly meets the specified quality standards and follows safety protocols.

Component Packaging
- Responsible for the careful packaging of ancillary components, ensuring protection during transportation.
- Collaborate with the team to organize and manage inventory of components.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance efficiency and safety.

Customization and Repairs
- Modify existing crates and pallets as required to meet specific shipment needs.
- Repair damaged crates and pallets, ensuring they are restored to proper functionality.

Quality Control
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled products to verify accuracy and quality.
- Report and address any discrepancies, defects, or issues with the assembled items.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement improvements in the assembly process.

- Work closely with team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
- Communicate effectively to address challenges and find solutions collaboratively.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss process improvements and share insights.

Specific Tasks for Position
- Build crates and pallets for all skids, carts, and other products to be shipped.
- Basic hand-tool operations.
- Pull ancillary parts that go with skids, carts, and other products to be shipped.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, etc.
- Assist in inventory control.
- Responsible for keeping the work area clean and in order.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous experience in assembly and packaging roles preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
