The Dispatcher will assist the Handyman department management with coordinating and
scheduling handyman services by receiving customer calls and emails, assessing repair
needs, assigning tasks to available technicians based on their skills and location, and
ensuring timely completion of jobs, all while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities of a Handyman service dispatcher:
* Answering customer calls:
Taking detailed information about repair needs, including location, type of work required,
and desired timeframe.
* Job assessment and prioritization:
Evaluating the complexity of each job and assigning tasks to the most suitable technician
based on their skillset.
* Scheduling appointments:
Coordinating technician availability with customer schedules to book appointments
efficiently.
* Dispatching technicians:
Communicating job details to assigned technicians through dispatch software or other
communication channels.
* Customer communication:
Keeping customers updated on technician arrival times, job status, and any potential
delays.
* Managing technician schedules:
Monitoring technician availability, workload, and ensuring efficient routing.
* Resolving customer issues:
Addressing customer concerns and coordinating necessary adjustments to service calls.
* Data entry and record keeping:
Uploading work orders, customer information, job details, and technician activity within
the scheduling system.
