What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Supervisor position at Sagebrush Inn & Suites?
Lead by example. Hospitality experience and attention to detail. Supervise and inspect the performance of assigned Guest Room Attendants, Housemen and Lobby Attendants ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel’s standards. Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests. 8am-5pm shifts, Must be available weekends, holidays and during busy times.
Job Duties:
· Comply with and be responsible for OSHA and safety standards within Housekeeping department.
· Help clean rooms when needed.
Laundry services, if needed.
· Assign room lists.
· Update front desk about clean rooms in a timely manner.
· Inspect & sign-off on guest rooms, guest corridors & service areas including linen closets.
· Anticipate internal/external guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
· Assist staff with their job functions where needed to ensure optimum cleanliness and service standards for guests.
· Maintain complete knowledge at all times of: status of hotel room count, group arrival, VIP’s, special events, and knowledge of job responsibility of staff.
· Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.
· Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
· Conduct training of staff as assigned.
· Provide feedback on staff performance to Director of Housekeeping.
· Other tasks as assigned.
· Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with on-coming HousekeepingSupervisor and/or Director of Housekeeping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
