Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to manage daily financial transactions, reconciliations, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning for our clients. This role involves both operational accounting tasks and contributions to the firm’s long-term growth and technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with the offshore team to manage day-to-day accounting transactions for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Close monthly books as per SOPs and checklists defined for each client.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Utilize NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Wave Accounting for bookkeeping and reporting.
• Maintain and update Excel and Google Sheets for financial budgeting and reporting.
• Lead financial management initiatives, including long-term planning and process improvements.
• Implement advanced accounting software and streamline workflows for efficiency.
• Support business development by fostering strong client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior accountants, preparing them for future technological advancements in accounting.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a CPA firm or professional services environment.
• CPA certification preferred.
• A strong understanding of private equity (PE) structures and fund administration activities is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling.
• Experience with NetSuite, Xero, and Wave Accounting is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial management best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and complex projects efficiently.
• Strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset for business growth.
