Summary/Objective:
This role requires a hands-on leader who not only drives strategy but also executes initiatives, overcomes technical and operational challenges proactively, and ensures the company’s technology functions remain agile, scalable, and resilient in a dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a solution-oriented mindset that fosters cross-functional collaboration and business alignment.
This position will have significant responsibility for formulating, prioritizing, and administering the policies, procedures, and programs that advance the organization’s data analytics goals, including assessing and enhancing current data strategy, driving transformation to a data/insights focused and data-led business organization, while enabling deployment of advanced data analytics/insights engines, establishing secure scalable standard data models, and secure scalable customer-friendly visualization tools.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
· Oversee data management, software development, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, translating complex technical topics into actionable business strategies.
· Lead with a problem-solving approach, ensuring technology solutions address business pain points and contribute to overall efficiency and growth.
· Take an active role in execution, ensuring implementation of key initiatives and technology roadmaps.
· Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of company systems and data.
· Optimize technology resources and budget to maximize efficiency and ROI.
· Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, system architecture, and IT operations.
· Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor advancements, and customer needs to maintain a competitive edge.
· Navigate and address adversity effectively, whether from shifting business priorities, evolving regulations, vendor limitations, or internal challenges.
· Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners.
· Manage and mentor technology teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment between technology and operational functions to meet business objectives.
· Foster a culture of adaptability and resilience, ensuring the team can pivot when faced with unforeseen challenges or technical setbacks.
· Develop contingency plans for critical technology systems and data security to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
Skills/Abilities:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or a similar leadership role in technology.
· Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices.
· Experience leading cross-functional technology teams in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
· Strong execution mindset, with a track record of delivering technology solutions from concept to implementation.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
· Demonstrated experience in data engineering roles with knowledge of data security practices.
· Demonstrated experience with data technologies (Azure, Postgres, Meltano, Json, Snowflake, Databricks, Containers, Kubernetes, etc.) and data visualization/reporting tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred.
· Knowledge of technology and applications related to business applications and integrations including APIs.
· Experience in data warehousing, governance, and compliance - experience in data management, quality, metadata management, and modeling for usability, availability and scale.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively on multiple requests/projects in a deadline-driven environment.
· Knowledge of one or more coding languages and tools (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript, R).
