The Chief Technology Officer will provide direction and support for the long-range direction of IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations and strategic goals for the Authority. This includes strategy, governance, alignment and daily management of all digital platforms, networking, support services, program management, information security, and telecommunications. The CTO will work closely with the Executive Staff and other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CTO will provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and Board. The CTO will also enhance and implement portions of SCWA’s Strategic Business Plan related to technology and carry out the mission of the CEO and Board.

Responsibilities :
- Oversee and provide guidance to the Director of Information Technology including goal setting & annual reviews.
- Directs the activities necessary to keep the technology infrastructure running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively while ensuring compliance with established standards and policies.
- Collaborates with Executive Staff and the Board to plan, develop and implement IT long-term goals, objectives, and policies.
- Provide project management for key technological implementation projects.
- Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the authority.
- Develop the standards for Authority-wide hardware and software compatibility, while ensuring adequate ROI in computer equipment, software applications, and training.
- Evaluate and integrate new innovative technology with emphasis on improving end-user efficiency and customer service improvements.
- Oversee the management of hardware and software licenses, subscriptions, maintenance agreements and project future needs.
- Prepare annual Information Technology budgets and personnel decisions.
- Approve vendor purchase orders for procurement of IT equipment and services; review annual maintenance agreements.
- Assist in the development of the SAP application modules.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance various applications for all departments.
- Maintain and provide backup for internet and intranet website design.
- Develop data queries and programs to provide critical information and statistics to upper management staff.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Applicant’s typical work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. Salary for this position will be commensurate with education and experience within a range of $180-195K.
