General Summary:
The Human Resource Manager serves as the Authority’s subject matter expert for the Human Resources component, ensuring these functions provided by the Authority are in compliance with established policies, procedures and any applicable state and federal laws or regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Oversees and manages compensation and benefit plans in accordance with Authority policies, procedures and applicable state and federal law.
2. Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan.
3. Manages all aspects of insurance matters for the Authority.
4. Approves and monitors payroll in accordance with Authority policies, procedures and applicable state and federal law.
5. Oversees benefit programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance program.
6. Oversees Authority’s Drug and Alcohol Program in accordance with Authority policy, procedures and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Acts as backup to Deputy Director of Human Resources.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of Human Resources.
Position Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field. PHR, SPHR preferred.
Experience: Four (4) years in positions of progressive responsibility in Human Resources. Union experience preferred. Transit experience preferred.
Examination/Screening: Selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
