Description
SAIC is looking for an experienced, energetic, and motivated Field Service Technician to join our Land Border Integration team in the Bellingham / Blaine, WA area. As a Field Service Technician working for SAIC you will have a fast moving, challenging, and highly rewarding position keeping the infrastructure running that helps Customs and Border Protection keep our borders safe.
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections at Ports of Entry on deployed equipment, including but not limited to License Plate Reader (LPR) equipment, RFID, network / power, signage, and communication devices.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Install new equipment and systems according to specifications and SOPs provided by SAIC deployment management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate equipment upgrades, replacements, and enhancements.
- Adhere to all CBP and SAIC IT Security, physical security, and operations security policies.
- Document accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repair histories, and inventory levels.
- Adhere to safety protocols such as OSHA and local regulations while performing maintenance and repair tasks at Ports of Entry.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and provide on-call support as needed during business hours Monday-Friday.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with Customs and Border Protection personnel, Border Patrol, vendors, and the traveling public.

Target salary range : $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy : SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
