What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Technician position at SAIC?
Description
SAIC is currently looking for a Network Lab Engineer / Technician to support our Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) team located in Lakehurst, NJ.
This position is hybrid-remote and requires a minimum of 2 days onsite. Must be a US citizen. An Interim Secret clearance will need to be obtained prior to start date.
General Overview :
Tasks will include the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance. The candidate will :
- Buildup of network racks of equipment (firewalls, routers, switches, etc)
- Configure and maintain servers / workstations, troubleshooting electronics equipment
- Provide support to the program including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client / server / storage / network devices
- Analyze user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS
