JOB DESCRIPTION :

SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer / Editor to support the TMSS at our Crane Indiana location.

Job Responsibilities :

  • The Technical Writer will be responsible for writing, updating and maintaining engineering, testing, cybersecurity, and other programmatic documents.
  • The Technical Writer will be responsible for drafting user-friendly content that meets the needs of the intended audience,
  • The Technical Writer will be responsible for maintaining records of those documents in the Configuration Management database tool.

Qualifications

Education Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years' experience; Four (4) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree

    • Clearance Requirements :

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

    • Required Skills :

  • Write and edit technical and complex ideas and procedures.
  • Work with subject matter experts, observing functional tasks to determine process steps.
  • Possess working knowledge of current MIL-STD regulations for document formatting and grammatical conventions.
  • Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and version control.
  • Ability to organize materials, write an outline, and then use it to develop comprehensive, well-written documents.
  • Knowledge of document control and workflows
  • Lifecycle knowledge

    • SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
