DescriptionKey Role : Provide Network support for a large enterprise network supporting the County of Orange. Manage major application, site moves and build projects in coordination with the OCIT team. Deploy and support Cisco Legacy as well SDN technologies such as SDA, SDWAN and ACI. Respond to operational requests day to day and act as the escalation point for incident resolution. Working closely with the SAIC and OCIT management team, review new technologies and standards and assist with the development of SOP's, runbooks, and other Operational resources.This Role Performs : Design review, analysis, planning, modification and maintenance of the network and security components, including network monitoring systems, in support of critical networkprojectsConfiguration of equipment in support of the project requirementsInstallation and implementation of network equipment in IDF’s and MDF’s at the project siteTest network and security systems to ensure they are operating as designed per project requirementsEvaluation of new network and security technologyManage the Cisco network and design / implement new projects in support of the datacenter, WAN, LAN, and internet connectivityTeam lead and mentor junior network engineersMonitor and resolve network incidents on a 24X7 basisThe position maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and security hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and gatewaysQualificationsRequired Qualifications : Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Strong experience with Cisco Systems network, security, and datacenter productsStrong experience with OSPF, BGP, IGP, MP-BGP and other routing protocolsStrong experience with Software Defined networking such as SDA, SDWAN and ACI, especially with Cisco ACI migration and operationsExperience designing and deploying wireless technologiesExperience managing large site build and move projectsStrong background with Service and Change ManagementAbility to present very complex technical concepts in understandable languageExperience creating and presenting project plans and designsPossession of excellent oral, written communication skillsEffectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersMake informed decisions during high-pressure situations, balancing technical requirements with business objectivesUnderstand team dynamics and adjust leadership style to motivate and support team members with varying levels of experienceDesired Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / Systems Engineering or related field with 10-12 years of experience on networkProject Management Professional (PMP)Experience with large enterprise network and security designClearance : Applicants selected will be subject to various County Agencies background check process as well as basic live scan background checks for SAICTarget salary range : $120,001 - $160,000.
