We are looking to hire a full-time senior accounting clerk who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment with a variety of responsibilities. Our new team member must be analytical, a whiz at data entry, and pay good attention to detail to get the job done. Staying organized and managing multiple priorities while processing incoming payments and other assigned tasks is essential in this position.
This role will be based in our Salem office with the potential opportunity to work remotely a couple days a week, depending on business needs. Responsibilities :
- Process all incoming checks using onsite electronic deposit software posting payments to designated accounts in SAIF systems ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Investigate and research questionable remittances using various systems to determine correct method of processing. Consistently, post payments manually between SAIF systems to properly reflect customer payment received for amount due.
- Prepare daily deposit and post premium and non-premium receipts into finance system. Review end of day reporting, correcting any errors that occurred during processing enabling nightly posting of all batches.
- Provide an excellent customer experience by responding to inquiries promptly according to SAIF guidelines while completing work thoroughly and accurately. Develop and maintain relationships with business partners.
- Review electronic payment enrollment forms for completeness and enroll workers in Reliacard or direct deposit payment options. Resolve payment issues as they arise.
- Process returned or lost SAIF-issued checks based on corporate policy updating finance records and SAIF systems. Provide copies of checks upon request.
- Reissue lost SAIF checks upon receipt of completed required documentation following SAIF policy.
- Process Instant Issue Cash Card funding requests according to standard procedures, and notify regional office, adjuster, and supervisor when card is funded.
- Analyze data and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts within established time frames. Identify the source of exception items and make correcting entries including journal entries as required.
- Maintain policy records and system information per SAIF policies and standards.
- Provide assistance by compiling information for internal and external auditors.

- Continually sustain the Inclusive Leadership Competencies (ILC) through the Explorer level on an annual basis.

Compensation & Benefits
Typical hiring range : $46,980 - $55,270. The pay range for this position is annually based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications & education.
