Pre-School Teacher

The Special Education Teacher assumes primary responsibility for the day-to-day classroom behavioral management and academic program for his/her students.

Education & Experience:

BA/BS Degree, MA/MS Degree in one of the following Special Education/Preschool Certifications is required:

• New York State Certification - Children with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2) Initial or Professional Certificate or
• New York State Certification – Special Education Teacher Permanent Certificate or
• New York State Certification – Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) Initial or Professional Certificate. Must be on a study plan to obtain New York State Certification in Special Education or
• Has a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or an associates degree in Early Childhood Education– will be on a study plan to obtain New York State Teacher Certification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
• Experience with children with autism, severely language impaired and behavior management issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $66,900.00 per year
