What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sociotherapist position at Saint Dominic's Family Services?
The Socio-Therapist works collaboratively with the case planning team to ensure that foster children are adjusting and thriving in their placements. The Socio-Therapist implements the concept of positive discipline and behavior modification with children in the Enhanced Family Foster Care program, who have behavioral disorders and/or other mental health diagnosis. The Socio-Therapist works with the foster parent(s) (FP) to provide psychoeducation and training so that the FP can implement appropriate behavioral modification techniques in the home. The Socio-Therapist is expected to work collaboratively with the child’s school and service providers for a full and accurate picture of strengths, needs and progress made.
BSW or BA degree required, in a related field preferred. with at least three (3) years of experience working with children and families. Experience in the field of child welfare preferred. A valid, non-restricted, NYS driver’s license is required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
