Job Description
The Program Training Specialist provides direct, consistent, hands-on training, including but not limited to case planning, assessments, working with children and families, court preparation, completion of forms, and documentation for all new licensed workers.
- Works in partnership with supervisors to create learning environments for their new hires.
- Prepares, sends, and reviews Training Agendas for new hires.
- Sends, reviews, and monitors completion of Training Plans
- Conducts initial face-to-face meetings with new hires, preferably with their supervisors present.
- Provides direct individual or group training to new hires regarding the organization's structure, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Submits documentation of trainings to the appropriate parties for recording purposes within 24 business hours of the trainings
- Reviews new hires' documentation and provides feedback regarding compliance, grammar, thoroughness, etc.
- Observes new hires' interactions, offers guidance and reassurance, demonstrates engagement through role modeling, and provides feedback on their performance.
- Prepares, sends, reviews, and submits 60 / 120-day evaluations.
- Reports critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours.
- Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
- Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
- Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
- Ensures clients' rights are protected.
