Job Description:
As a Phlebotomist I at Saint Francis Health System, you will be responsible for collecting patient specimens, supporting laboratory operations, and performing phlebotomy collections. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
About the Role:
You will work independently, making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established. You will also work directly with patients and/or customers, internal and external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction, and other healthcare professionals and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Collect patient specimens competently and accurately
- Support the general operation of the Laboratory
- Document collection and process specimens efficiently
- Perform phlebotomy collections in a timely manner
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-6 month(s) related experience inclusive of on-the-job or classroom training in phlebotomy
- No licensure, registration, or certification required
