Saint Francis Manchester is A non-profit Assisted Living Community. We are seeking a self-motivated, friendly Volunteer Coordinator who has the flexibility to meet the community needs of our growing Volunteer program. This person will be required to work 24 hours a week, weekends and varying shifts.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in managing our volunteer program, ensuring that volunteers are effectively recruited, trained, and supervised to support our organization’s mission. Maintain volunteer records and training in compliance with ALF Regulations. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, volunteers, co-workers, neighbors, vendors, community partners and general public. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community engagement and experience in volunteer management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for volunteer recruitment and retention, focusing on campus recruitment initiatives.
- Manage and track the volunteer data, including hours, engagement, and feedback.
- Create and facilitate training programs for new volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
- Supervise and support volunteers during events and activities, providing guidance and addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities within the organization.
- Utilize social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities and engage with potential volunteers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer program, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and recognizes the contributions of volunteers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in volunteer management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
- Experience in training development and implementation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Experience in recruiting volunteers through various channels, including social media management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed for events.
