The MRI Technologist Team Lead is essential for delivering high-quality diagnostic MRI scans and guiding our team of technologists. This role combines mentorship with hands-on responsibilities, empowering the team to provide exceptional patient care while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Schedule | Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts
- May require some night, weekend or on-call coverage
- Perform a variety of MRI examinations and Administer contrast and barium.
- Coordinate daily operations, manage staff scheduling, and oversee workflow within the MRI unit.
- Participate in the hiring process and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Engage in ongoing quality monitoring, data collection, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Clinical Engineering to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations.
- Assess educational needs of staff and facilitate training programs.
- Maintain knowledge of MRI safety concepts and tech. advancements.
- Serve as a consultant on MRI-related issues.
- Contribute to budget development and monitor departmental supplies and services.
- Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology Program, or an MRI-specific curriculum
- Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- MRI certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire
- 3 or more years' experience as a staff technologist in specific imaging modality
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Radiology imaging modality
- Preferred: Ability to interpret and monitor EKG tracings
