Job Description This position is an outstanding opportunity for a teacher who wants to substantially impact young peoples' lives. We specialize in providing high quality educational services to children within a psychiatric residential treatment setting. Our very experienced and skilled team is looking for the best possible teammate, who possesses strength in classroom management, relationship development, being a team player, instruction, assessment, organization and work habits.
Responsibilities: Responsible for teaching duties to include ability to design and monitor courses of study based upon individual resident's ability and educational goals established in treatment plans; maintains and monitors academic and behavioral progress of students in each class period; provides appropriate feedback on the academic and behavioral progress of each student; writes ad monitors IEP's/ILP's for each student; supervises students during class and outside classroom when appropriate; and works collaboratively with other members of St. Joseph's various treatment teams to design and adjust treatment programs for residents.
Requirements: Must possess Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with or ability to obtain Wyoming Teaching Certification; endorsement in Secondary Math, Science, Social Studies, English or ability to obtain an Institutional Endorsement. Will also consider candidates with a Bachelor’s degree who have the ability to obtain an Exception Authorization through the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board.

Previous experience and/or education & knowledge of trauma informed care or working with youth impacted by trauma, abuse/neglect, psychological, emotional, and/or learning challenges is beneficial.
