What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master's Level Social Worker or Counselor position at Saint Louis Crisis Nursery?
The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery Family Empowerment Program is a dynamic team of social workers and counselors dedicated to helping families move from crisis to safety & stability. Our team is known within the communities we serve for providing culturally responsive home & office-based crisis intervention, trauma informed counseling, parenting support, community outreach, and advocacy on behalf of underserved families.
For 38 years, the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery has been partnering with families in crisis, offering wrap around support so that families remain intact and children thrive. Our outcomes consistently show that families who engage in services have a reduced risk for child abuse & neglect and greater stability.
We offer a fast-paced, collaborative work environment, with caseloads that include both crisis intervention and longer term counseling clients, as well as the opportunity to facilitate parent education groups, conduct community outreach, and support parents on site at partner agencies.
Here’s what our families are saying about us:
“You have been such a blessing to me and my kids. Without your support this year I would have probably given up and let my kids go [into foster care].” - recent program graduate
“I really appreciate everything you have done to help me and my kids. I’m able to be here for them in a way I wasn’t before.” - recent program graduate
“It means so much just to speak to real people that actually take your situation seriously and help you right away. I don’t know what we would have done without the Crisis Nursery.” - recent Crisis Intervention client
