Description
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Graduate Assistant (GA) to support the Department of Business and Leadership’s master’s programs (Master of Leadership Development and Master of Business Administration). This is a unique opportunity for a graduate student to develop hands-on experience in marketing, research, and leadership strategy while supporting the growth and success of high-impact academic programs. This position may also support the undergraduate department as needed, assisting with various tasks and projects to ensure smooth operations and contribute to departmental goals. This position reports to Assistant Professor and Program Director, MLD/MBA/MHA, Dr. Eric. Hubbard.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement and Outreach:
- Participate in creating and delivering professional development and social engagement sessions for graduate students. These sessions may be educational, interactive, or recreational, delivered either in-person or online, to foster learning and community building.
- Assist faculty and staff in the development and implementation of recruitment and retention marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, e-mail, and digital advertising to highlight program benefits and various program engagement opportunities. *These efforts will support the Division overall, but specifically to promote the initiatives of the Department of Business and Leadership’s Master’s Programs.
- Help develop marketing campaigns to highlight program benefits and events and recruit new and retain current students.
Research & Development:
- Conduct research on certificate programs that can complement the Division’s mission, vision, and values (Example: GCWL and WVLI).
- Assist with data collection and analysis to report and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and department/division initiatives.
- Analyze data collected from surveys and compile it into clear, concise reports.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with routine administrative tasks, including campus mail documentation.
- Provide general support for faculty and staff within the department.
Strategic Planning Support:
- Collaborate in brainstorming sessions and help develop ideas for the strategic direction of the programs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MLD or MBA preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with social media platforms.
