Overview
We are seeking a talented and ground-breaking Chef to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Chef, they will be responsible for educating the community in the manner of "French Kids Eat Everything". The Chef will be supported by an experienced cook, ensuring the highest standards of food quality. The Chef will have read the book and be ready to coordinate with Mrs. Heard and current menus for the project.
Duties
- Ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory control
- Design and execute menus for special events.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect French School culinary trends
- Ensure timely service while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Leadership and cooperative skills with the ability to motivate and manage
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and food safety practices.
- Experience with inventory control systems and cost management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, for special events as needed.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and guests.
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
