Job Summary:
The Director will oversee the daily operations of the STEM Engagement Center. The Director will be comfortable planning, coordinating, implementing and assessing STEM focused academic support. The Director will collaborate with STEM faculty members on tutoring services, integrate services with other campus support programs, organize workshops and lectures to support learning and career readiness, and assess the impact of support services on student learning and completion.
- Oversee all STEM focused learning assistance, supplementary instruction, tutoring programs and workshops run through the STEM Engagement Center.
- Oversee the physical space of the STEM center and the day to day operations
- Manage an inventory of learning aids, textbooks and laptops.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with STEM faculty.
- In collaboration with faculty, ensure that STEM students are properly advised and registered each term.
- Monitor registration and persistence of current STEM students.
- Monitor academic progress for STEM students, including but not limited to attendance verification, midterm and final grading.
- Deliver and collaborate on interventions for at-risk STEM students.
- Develop and monitor academic recovery plans for probationary/at-risk STEM students.
- Manage the ongoing collection of data and production of reports related to student registration and retention for STEM students.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to monitor the Engagement Centers usage.
- Provide monthly STEM center usage and statistics and create a comprehensive yearly summary report of center usage and statistics, including EAB Navigate system
- Help recruit, train and supervise professional and undergraduate academic support staff.
- Collaborates communication to students with CASE related to advising, persistence, and retention initiatives, leveraging EAB Navigate as the principal tool; monitors and reports on key metrics and performance indicators related to the EAB Navigate system
- Participates in and facilitates elements of new student orientation and other recruitment and enrollment related events
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000

Education & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Masters degree preferred, in a STEM discipline or successful completion of mathematics course work that includes calculus and statistics.
- Experience in the delivery of student support services in a higher education setting, including academic advising, opportunity programs (EOF, TRIO, etc.), tutoring services, and persistence and retention initiatives, or a combination of relevant training and experience
- Strong communication, ability to work independently, balance multiple tasks, work to meet deadlines, and prioritize a complex workload
Preferred
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of Student Planning, Colleague, or EAB Navigate platforms (or comparable systems i.e. Banner)
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
