What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Coordinator position at Sakar International?
The licensing department at Sakar works on every licensed product we manufacture, ensuring that all products are submitted to licensors for approval, receiving feedback, and passing it onto the product development team. The licensing department also submits all packaging artwork, manuals, QSGs, etc. to licensors for approval and sends all feedback and approvals back to the art department. This person will be responsible for a key component of our business and needs to be highly attentive to detail, be a real team player who can work with all levels of the company, and be proactive in getting things accomplished. Sakar is a fast, nimble company with huge growth potential, so while working here you will have the unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across many different markets, and a variety of licenses.
Responsibilities include:
- Be proactive in following up to get the product approved
- Able to create and manage line lists at the licensor's request
- Manage the licensing database
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
- Develop strong working relationships with internal departments (creative, product development, sales) and external partners (Licensors, Marketing, Outbound Licensing)
Qualifications:

- Previous work in an office setting is mandatory, Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
- Fluent in office computer programs; Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess exceptional time management skills
- Ability to think under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
- Must be able to work in a team environment and at the same time be able to work with minimal supervision
