What This Position Is All About:
The Specialist, Site Merchandising is responsible for managing the day to day execution of website merchandising and creating a compelling customer experience on the Saks OFF 5TH website. This individual leads the creation of custom arrays as well as the execution of boosting strategies for their category. The Specialist will help to perform site maintenance, maximize onsite assets and use analytics to understand customer's discovery and selection. The Specialist will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with teams including Digital Strategy, Omni Merchandising, Creative, Site QA, Marketing, Item Setup, etc. to ensure a seamless site execution and drive digital revenue and conversion.
Responsibilities
Site Merchandising & Reporting (80%
• Create all custom arrays required to support email, site and paid media content, leveraging key merchandising reporting as well as visual tools to build compelling and commercially viable arrays
• Responsible for executing boosting strategies as required by merchant and marketing teams, using both creative eye and data
• Monitor array performance and constantly look for ways to improve sell-thru, conversion, etc
• Responsible for linking strategies and helping to optimize the customer experience online
• Responsible for daily QA of the site to ensure site assets are set up correctly for respective area of business
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment for event set-ups, category experience and execution to create a seamless shopping experience online
• Identify process and/or system inefficiencies on a regular basis and implement improvements
• Continuously research and track competitive landscape; identify ideas to implement that will optimize site's navigation and refinement strategy
• Provide support in moving important project initiatives forward which include navigation redesigns and various site experience enhancements.
Team Collaboration (20%)
• Collaborate with merchants, marketing, creative & site content teams to execute business strategies
• Identify and work with cross functional teams (DC, Studio, Item Set Up) to resolve on-site product issues
• Partner with HBC India on site merchandising efforts, working seamlessly and supporting each others efforts as needed
• Provide additional support to site / email QA efforts as needed
Education and Professional Requirements
• BA/BS Degree
• 1 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, and/or buying
• Familiarity with site analytics tools (e.g., Omniture, Google Analytics) and with content & product management tools (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, PIM)
• Technical aptitude with web-based tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must demonstrate business acumen and analytical skills
• Have an understanding of and passion for digital retail landscape
• Ability to multitask and achieve deadlines in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $80,000 and $85,500/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
