Role Summary:

Reporting to the VP Facilities, the Site Manager will support all related to work orders, approvals, invoicing, manage expense budgets, and is responsible for the effective coordination of all resources to ensure the sustained operational readiness and physical integrity of the Property.

They will oversee the work of third-party service providers, ensure the most cost-effective means to complete repairs/maintenance and that all services are completed within approved budgets, resolve complex issues, and ensure appropriate resolution; and is responsible for the completion of capital projects within budget and agreed timelines.

This position will require off-hour and weekend interaction.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in the Facility Management industry and demonstrated success in leading / mentoring / training a facilities team.

  • BOMA &/or PMP certification or equivalent would be an asset.

  • Preference will be given to individuals with a background in retail and/or public facilities.

  • Certification in Construction Project Management, Electrical, HVAC, Vertical Transportation, or Fire Suppression would also be an asset.

  • PC literacy and demonstrated capability with Windows, Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Project. (Service Channel System experience a plus)

Role Description:

  • Ensure daily operations are conducted with a strong commitment to customer service, and with an approach that adds value and extends asset lifecycles.

  • Lead and mentor the Facilities Team members, assess resources, and provide recommendations to ensure they have the skills and resources they need to be successful in their roles.

  • Provide support and advice to the Facilities Team for complex issue resolution and assume the lead management role in any crisis resolution; liaise with internal and external resources to contain the crisis and minimize damage and business disruption and return the store to regular operations as efficiently as possible.

  • Contribute to Annual Operating and Capital Budget preparation and provide regular variance analysis and recommendations to leverage resources for maximum results and efficiency; identify repetitive issues and recommend/implement appropriate solutions.

  • Review and approve proposals and invoices within approval limits.

  • Ensure full compliance with all Authorities Having Jurisdiction

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and Standards

  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.

  • Research new and innovative ways to reduce energy footprint within locations; use available reports and methods to research, identify, and resolve specific faulty equipment, overuse, or noncompliance to company guidelines.
