This position is imperative to keeping our office running smoothly, ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the entire team from our headquarters in Ridgeland, SC

What You’ll Do
As a Office Administrator/Bookkeeper at Salacia Construction, you will be a key part of our day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening and closing the office in Ridgeland, SC, keeping it's day-to-day operations running smoothly.
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and courier services.
- Managing the financial heartbeat of the company, including daily accounts receivable and payable processing.
- Handling customer invoicing and ensuring timely payments to maintain positive cash flow.
- Ensure timely collection and processing of vendor documentation (W-9s, COIs, etc.).
- Preparing and processing payroll accurately, including tax filings, garnishments, and 401(k) deductions.
- Maintaining and reconciling bank and credit card statements with precision.
- Utilizing QuickBooks to manage and track financial data with confidence.
- Compiling and reviewing financial reports, assisting in budgeting, and preparing expense reports.
- Managing records and organizing digital files through Dropbox and other systems.
- Answering job-related calls and serving as the central point of contact for office operations.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate, state, and federal tax deadlines, including payroll tax returns and W2 filings.
- Collaborating with IT support to maintain computer, network, and phone systems.
- Track and ensure all necessary business licenses, permits, and certifications are current.
- Handle renewals and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Bring
We're looking for a candidate who is not only skilled in bookkeeping and office administration but also thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be successful in this role if you have:
- 2 years prior experience in accounts payable, receivable or bookkeeping
- Previous experience overseeing administrative operations, preferably in a construction company setting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel,
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to interact with team members and vendors.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
- A working knowledge of accounting principles, payroll procedures, and tax regulations.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Ability to apply common sense solutions and critical thinking skills to problems that arise and tasks that need to be completed.
- Excellent time management skills.
