The Job
Our office in Houston, TX is looking for a full-time CAD Technician to join our growing team. This role will focus on the drafting of building related projects in the K-12/Higher Ed, retail, commercial, healthcare markets.
Here are the details of your duties:
- Drafting existing site and system conditions from Engineer’s field survey notes.
- Work in conjunction with supervising Engineer to draft HVAC system layouts, schedules, and details for a variety of projects.
- Work with internal/external Technicians/Designers/Engineers to coordinate building systems.
- Background and layer management.
Your Background
To succeed in this role, you need to meet the following basic requirements:
- Experience in an A/E/C environment designing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems (MEP)
- Knowledge of drafting techniques and MEP engineering terminology
- Efficient and accurate drafting with adherence to CAD standards
- High level of proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT design software
- High Level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Electronic Project File Management experience
- Excellent time management and an extremely high level of attention to detail
