What You’ll do
The Student Services Coordinator is the Student Services Team’s central connector and systems-level facilitator. Under the supervision of the Managing Director of Student Services, this position acts as a primary contact and integrative point across general education, special education, 504, MTSS, health services, and attendance. The Student Services Coordinator ensures seamless communication and effective data use between teams and provides critical support for meeting compliance and student support goals.
Working with and for Students:
Aligning curricular standards with state guidelines
Support classroom staff with the implementation of accommodations and progress monitoring.
Provide short-term academic and social-emotional support to facilitate successful reintegration.
Identify and support students experiencing homelessness per the McKinney-Vento Act.
Coordinate services for students returning from emotionally impactful absences.
Oversee Section 504 Compliance
Promoting health and wellness initiatives within the school and community
Documenting annual, unit, and lesson plans correlated to state standards
Monitoring student progress through standards-based assessments
Analyzing student data
Differentiating instruction
Supporting, planning, and co-leading Service-Learning projects
Input academic and behavioral data on the school data management system
Analyze student data and monitor student progress through standards-based assessments
Working with and for Families:
Participate in Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences three times per year
Communicate regularly with families about academic and social progress
Facilitate the bi-weekly Attendance Committee and conduct re-engagement outreach to families
Serve as the primary point of contact for students and families in the BRYT program.
Gather and organize student data to inform student services planning and provision.
Build trust and maintain consistent communication with families.
Connect students and families to external services and resources.
Working with and for Colleagues
Build and maintain a strong school culture centered on student achievement
Act as a communication and data hub for the Student Services Team across various functions, including special education, general education, 504, MTSS, attendance, and health services.
Ensure legal compliance and support staff in understanding and implementing accommodations.
Facilitate all 504 processes, including eligibility, meetings, documentation, and family engagement.
Support classroom staff with the implementation of accommodations and progress monitoring.
Maintain clear and timely coordination among departments to align support for students.
Produce reports to guide intervention, monitor student progress, and improve practices.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the school mission
Participate in weekly professional development sessions
Participate in weekly grade-level team meetings
Inputting academic and behavioral data into the school data management system
Who You Are:
Master’s degree in general education, special education, social work, or counseling preferred. A professional license is highly desired. The license may be an educator’s license (general or special education), a license in social work, or one in counseling. A bachelor’s degree holder with significant, related work experience will be considered.
