Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented Estimator / Project Manager to lead residential and commercial projects involving gate fabrication, installation, automation, and access control systems. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and confident managing projects from concept through completion.
You’ll be working with high-end clients and cutting-edge technology, managing both sales and execution while ensuring an outstanding client experience every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client consultations and on-site assessments to understand project needs and scope.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates, proposals, and bids.
- Manage full project lifecycle—from initial sale to final installation and follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal teams, field technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary client liaison throughout the project.
- Monitor budgets, labor, materials, and schedules.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and safety standards.
- Stay informed on product innovations, installation best practices, and access control technologies.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in estimating and project management (gates, access control, security, construction, or related fields preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results with high-end residential and commercial clients.
- Strong communication, sales, and client relationship skills.
- Proven urgency and responsiveness in both internal coordination and external customer interactions—this is essential to our fast-paced environment and high-touch service model.
- Familiarity with gate automation systems, access control devices, and basic electrical/mechanical concepts.
- Able to read construction plans, blueprints, and technical schematics.
- Experience with construction contracts, GC coordination, and change order processes.
- Skilled in project management, estimating, or field service software tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple active projects.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the tri-state service area.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop
- Spanish language skills (spoken/written)
- Previous experience in the gate, fencing, or automation industries
