Your Role With Us:
Salem Health is seeking a detail-oriented EMI Specialist to oversee the management, maintenance, and coordination of surgical equipment and instruments. This role acts as a key liaison between the OR and hospital departments, troubleshooting equipment issues, tracking repairs, and ensuring the availability of necessary instruments. The EMI Specialist proactively plans for surgical resources, collaborates with vendors and medical staff, and assists in product evaluations to enhance efficiency and cost savings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate requisitions, supporting OR staff with equipment setup, and contributing to process improvements that enhance patient care. Background/Expertise:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.

Minimum of three (3) years work experience in Surgical Services that has provided a high level of knowledge of surgical equipment, instruments and supplies, an in-depth understanding of the principles of asepsis, and exposure to a wide variety of surgical cases.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in ordering, stocking, and management of supplies.
