Your Role With Us:
Salem Health is seeking an experienced pharmacy leader with a strong clinical background to assume the role of Manager of Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Services. The best candidate will demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to think and work independently with little supervision, a self-starting attitude, a team-centric demeanor centered in empathy and collaboration, and highly effective communication skills.
The Manager of Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Services is responsible for the following functions:
- Oversight of Salem Health's Medication Management Clinic and it's team of employees.
- Support of patient care plan including frequent, direct interaction with patient/client/customer during service encounters or service delivery.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring feedback and support to team.
- Perform supervisory activity in delegating tasks, completing reviews, etc.
- Initiate, direct and maintain quality improvement efforts in areas of responsibility.
- Develop, optimize and execute patient care strategy including financial performance, quality, and outcomes.
- Oversight of the Pharmacy Residency Program.

Background/Expertise:
Education:
- Graduate of ACPE accredited college of pharmacy required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree must be accompanied by either a) PGY-1 or PGY-2 residency, or b) Four years of previous acute care clinical practice experience or retail practice experience along with prior direct experience in patient/customer service interaction.
- Pharm.D. degree preferred.
- PGY-2 residency with ambulatory-care-focus preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum three years of pharmacy leadership experience required, preferably at a manager level or higher.
Licenses/Certification/Registration:
- Current Oregon Pharmacist license or eligibility to apply for Oregon Pharmacist license required.
- Appropriate Board Certification (BCPS, BCPAP, etc.) is required within two years of accepting position.
- Registration as active Preceptor per ASHP Residency guidelines required.
Credentials:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
- Licensed Pharmacist required.
