Your Role With Us:
As a Vascular Technologist in the Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Services Department, my role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care across various hospital settings. I perform a wide range of vascular ultrasound procedures, including carotid, arterial, venous, abdominal, and transcranial Doppler exams, while ensuring patient safety and comfort through proper positioning, equipment adjustment, and adherence to protocols. I verify patient identity, assess and prepare individuals for procedures, and conduct testing under the supervision of a vascular physician, utilizing advanced imaging techniques such as m-mode, 2D, spectral and color Doppler. I am responsible for collecting and documenting accurate diagnostic data, reporting critical values, and ensuring timely image and report submission for physician interpretation. I maintain ongoing clinical proficiency, follow current standards of care, ensure patient confidentiality, and am trained to respond to emergent situations. Additional responsibilities include patient education, equipment maintenance, billing accuracy, resource management, and active participation in departmental development initiatives such as staff training, policy revision, and committee involvement.
