Your Role with Us:
You will be an integral part of a dynamic team which provides a family-centered maternity experience where each patient's choices are respected and valued. As a member of this team you'll be surrounded by many friendly faces! We have between 265 and 280 births per month with a 27 percent average C-section rate (this includes primary and repeat C-sections). We average about six TOLACs (trial of labor after cesarean) per month.
Salem Health Women & Children’s Services Division includes:
- 10 bed Pediatric Unit which provides inpatient and outpatient services
- 26 bed Mother Baby Unit
- 18 bed Labor & Delivery Unit (12 labor and 6 antepartum beds) with 2 operating rooms
- 27 bed level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Background/Expertise:
- Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) - Graduate of a Diploma RN Program and at least 5 years of acute care RN experience ADN, BSN, non-nursing bachelor’s degree with MSN, or MSN; preferred for West Valley Hospital. ADN graduate with less than 5 years of acute care experience required to sign agreement to complete BSN or MSN within 3 years of hire. Note: Employees hired as an ADN prior to October 2011 are not required to obtain BSN or MSN.
- Current and unrestricted Oregon license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN Staff Nurse experience required, acute care RN Staff Nurse experience preferred.
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
- Neonatal Advance Life Support required within 90 days of hire.
