Description :
The position involves working in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit, which includes labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, operating rooms, anesthesia rooms, and recovery room.
The facility is a large hospital with over 400 beds, including medical-surgical beds and an intensive care unit.
The clinician-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2-3 for evaluations and 1 : 1 during active labor, magnesium infusion, or with an epidural.
Postpartum care has a ratio of 1 : 3-4.
The patient population includes mothers and newborns.
The average daily census ranges from 15 to 25 mothers, babies, and in labor patients.
The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
Floating is not required for this position.
Rotating shifts are required, consisting of day rotations with one night of on-call responsibility.
Evening and night shifts are straight shifts.
Additional preferred certification is ACLS.
