Description :
This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Patient Care Services departments.
The role requires working collaboratively with the admitting office and overall hospital functions during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
The supervisor interacts with nursing and patient care services staff, as well as staff from other departments, to facilitate patient care.
Administrative and clinical support is provided to the nursing staff primarily during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays in the absence of clinical nursing leadership.
Candidates must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of people.
Experience with the EMR charting system EPIC is required.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to work under stressful situations are essential.
The ability to effectively work in a changing environment and advanced clinical skills with strong decision-making abilities is required.
Preferred candidates will have critical care nursing experience and progressive leadership responsibilities.
Education requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 371 licensed beds, offering comprehensive medical and surgical services, including inpatient Med / Surg Tele, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Pediatric ED, Psychiatric Services, Birthplace, and Special Care Nursery.
