Overview
Salem Media Group is currently looking for part-time help with our on-site promotional events.
Event Assistants should have outgoing, friendly and engaging personalities – as they will be interacting with our listeners and the general public. An eye for detail and the ability to proactively problem solve are also traits that make for an exceptional Promotions Assistant. This part time position will typically work 10-25 hours per week depending on scheduling needs.

Responsibilities
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The Event Street Team position reports to and works directly with the Promotions Director of the stations.
- Responsibilities include working at various station events, concerts, and live broadcasts.
- Handling the setup and tear down of station events and appearances
- Interacting with account executives, listeners and on-air personalities
- Maintaining promotional equipment
- Driving station vehicles
- Helping with the execution of station events, on site contesting and may include some front office reception duties.
- Help maintain company vehicles: fuel van/jeep for events and remotes, keep clean inside and out.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have weekend and nighttime work availability and some weekdays. Weekends are required.
Qualifications
- Unquestionable Work ethic
- Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 punds

- Must be comfortable interacting with listeners at events, outgoing personality is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to multi-task and have exceptional organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Cool Edit, Audacity or other recording/editing program is strongly favored
- Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point and Photoshop.
- Good writing skills and creativity are essential.
