Job description
We are looking for candidates for a real estate investment banking associate or vice president role to join us in our Los Angeles office. The new hire will work directly with the Managing Director that heads up real estate investment banking, and will be involved in all facets of Salem Partners’ real estate investment banking business, and will play a prominent role in the execution of equity and debt capital raising assignments while working directly with clients and overseeing, mentoring and managing analysts' work on real estate assignments.
This role offers ample opportunity to take on significant responsibility as well as excellent exposure to top level real estate industry executives, private equity firms, hedge funds and other capital sources. This role is ideally suited to a motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn. Specific responsibilities of the job include overseeing, mentoring, and managing analysts' work on real estate assignments, performing financial analysis and modeling, preparation of presentations and other marketing materials, performing company due diligence and industry research, and managing the capital raising transaction process.
Candidates MUST HAVE at least one year of real estate investment banking experience.
