Enjoy ideal summer hours— Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM —while leading an experienced and professional aquatics team at one of the area's busiest public park pools.
What You’ll Do :
As the Head Lifeguard , you will be responsible for the daily operations, safety, and security of Forest River Park Pool , ensuring a positive experience for patrons and maintaining strong community relations. In this leadership role, you will manage, support, and lead the lifeguard team , oversee pool operations, and ensure all safety protocols are upheld.
On a typical day, you will :
- Supervise and enforce safety regulations and pool rules for all patrons.
- Monitor the pool area for safety hazards and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Remain rescue-ready at all times and implement emergency procedures when necessary.
- Assess swimmers' abilities to ensure they are using appropriate areas of the pool.
- Train and mentor new staff through shadowing and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure proper chemical levels and pool maintenance , keeping accurate logs to meet safety compliance standards.
