The Technical Sales Manager will use sales skills and technical knowledge to promote and secure profitable projects. The ideal candidate will strengthen relationships with contractors, architects, and owners while pursuing new business opportunities. A strong understanding of roofing and waterproofing solutions and a proactive approach to managing accounts from conception to final inspection is essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Key Performance Objectives:
  2. Generate $250,000 in revenue in the first year.
  3. Build a strong network of distributors and contractors.
  4. Increase brand recognition.
  5. Secure contracts and develop a sales funnel.
  6. Establish relationships with architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
  • Conduct outreach to increase product awareness, secure meetings, and close sales.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to finalize deals.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to expand market presence and achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline, meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual targets.
  • Perform market research to identify potential clients and opportunities.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Assisted with on-site technical issues and provided solutions to meet milestones.
  • Coordinate product training for contractors on proper application techniques.
  • Serve as a technical resource for contractors and clients.
  • Evaluate completed projects to identify repeat business opportunities.
  • Analyze customer feedback to improve products and services.
  • Participate in meetings and training for personal development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management of roofing or waterproofing projects.
  • Familiarity with roofing and waterproofing products.
  • Strong network in the construction industry.
  • Technical knowledge of roofing systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Proactive and self-driven in meeting sales goals.
  • Knowledge of construction codes and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
