The Community Well-being Program Manager will lead the strategic direction of well-being in the community and will be responsible for management of a team of dedicated colleagues to support the strategic planning and successful
execution of strategic community well-being initiatives on behalf of Salinas Valley Health. Working under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Office of Partner & Community Relations. As directed, manages the programs that reside under Community Well-being program. Manages external programming, worksite and school programming and community well-being events, The Manager is responsible to evaluate programs, ensures relevance and validate community benefit. In addition, as directed, manages the implementation of service line programs and special events, in alignment with strategic Community Health Needs Assessment priorities. Tracks and reports on meeting budget, timelines and needs of hospital programming.
- Develop the community well-being strategic plan in partnership with community leaders, the Community Health Needs Assessment and hospital priorities.
- Build and maintain a high degree of knowledge of community well-being programs, processes, benefits, and expected outcomes.
- Lead the recruitment of community leaders to serve on committees, who advise, help execute, and oversee the program implementation.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with both internal and external members to keep them continually apprised of, and engaged in progress toward community engagement and well-being improvement.
- Manage the program staff and coordinate ongoing strategies and training to ensure team and individual goals are met.
- Manage the project plan to established milestones.
- Track and monitor progress and outcome of policy changes, engaged organizations and leaders engaged in the projects / initiatives, and assist with data collection and reporting of overall program outcomes.
- Represent Salinas Valley Health at meetings, community events and speaking engagements to build awareness and encourage participation.
- Develop and manage budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key partnerships, building strong relationships, understanding their needs, and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Conduct regular program evaluation to ensure overall program health and identify areas for improvement or additional support.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hospital departments, physicians and external partners, to ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to executive team.
- Stay updated on well-being trends to proactively identify opportunities or risks and adapt management
Education : Bachelor's degree required.
Licensure : None.
Experience : Two (2) years management experience required. Experience in Community Programming, Population Health Management and community wellness programs preferred. Knowledge of budgetary preparation, monitoring and control, management and supervisory theories, principles, practices,
techniques and methods. Bilingual preferred.

Pay Range : The hourly rate for this position is $42.45 - $53.07. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
