Facilities Technician

Role and Responsibilities

The main role of the Facilities Technician is to safely and effectively respond to production requirements.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all building, mechanical and production utilities are maintained in a safe and timely manner as not to disrupt the Cultivation, extraction or processing of Root and Bloom products.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to…

• Effective response to issues affecting the smooth running of Root and Bloom
• Safe and effective use of power tools, hand tools and ladders
• Use common sense when evaluating problems
• Maintenance of equipment, including vital building systems
• Appropriately cleaning and removing waste material from cultivation and extraction.
• Maintaining safe working practices and procedures as it pertains to the dispensing and use of flammable liquids
• Maintaining cleanliness and viability of equipment and building.
• Working safely in a G.M.P environment while adhering to personal cleanliness
• Provide excellent customer service and communication with peers
• Assisting any department when needed
• Observing and learning

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school education or higher preferred

Preferred Skills & requirement

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in a confined environment.

Experience preferred

Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time

Ability to work outside

Ability to work in loud environments

Ability to work extra hours or weekend days as and when production schedules require

Required Skills:

Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset.

Physical and mental aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of the facility.

Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness.

Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.

Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Salisbury Cultivation and Product Manufacturing.

Should have a basic understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.

Additional Requirements:

Must pass all required background checks.

Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

Must have a have valid driver's license.

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Must be approved by the state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.

Must have reliable transportation.

Additional Notes

This is a position primarily to assist in all operations of Root and Bloom.

You will have the opportunity to learn multiple areas of Root and Bloom and will advance into an area of either Maintenance, cultivation, extraction or production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
