Primary Duties
- Working with your PD Manager, the Assistant Manager will support product ideas and recommendations to improve or maintain assigned brands’ market position including concept, package development, testing plans, merchandising and promotions.
- Act as a support to ensure development execution follows design, allocation, sourcing, and brand strategy in partnership with manager.
- Partners with manager to lead cross functional communication and coordination around timing, calendar, product updates, approvals, and issues including the organization of meetings and the follow up of actions.
- Supports category & brand management partnership with merchandising team: Maintains analytics reports to ensure category is on target to meet penetration goals.
- Helps PD Manager to track top performing SKUs to improve sales and brands.
- Manages day-to-day development and analytics of assigned brands and categories in partnership with manager
- Leverages internal network to share best practices in process and product development to drive standardization.
- Could be required to own bespoke projects from time to time.
- Partners with manager to align marketing, merchandising and product development strategies to grow categories and brands.
- Continual education and learning of the beauty category with formula optimization, safety, and quality standards. Ensure product is on track to maintain cost, deliverables and ROI metrics.
- Works with PD Manager and sourcing team collaborating on vendor management.
- Supports in the delivery of trend analysis to inform x-functional teams of new and seasonal themes and product lines.
- Identifies and communicates potential obstacles, facilitates issue resolution
- Partners with cross functional teams on samples for awareness and trials
- Monitor and follow-up on projects to ensure timely completion of all phases of each project.
- Bachelors degree in business or related major
- 2 years experience in consumer product development
- Health and beauty related experience preferred but not required
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledgeable in using production management software and tools to track progress, manage inventory, and analyze production data
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all productionrelated activities
- Able to multi-task

- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
