What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Clinical Director position at Sallyz Applied Behavior Services?
Sallyz Center for Autism is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Clinical Director to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of our center. This role is integral to ensuring clinical compliance, effective administration, and the overall success of our c services. The Assistant Clinical Director will support and maintain the integrity of all clinical services, including training and development of clinical leadership, treatment outcomes, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Management:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to monitor performance metrics for all clinical staff.
- Assist in organization-wide evaluations to align with best practices and industry certification standards.
- Build relationships with school districts, community providers, and other related providers.
- Assign cases to clinical staff and participate in the treatment plan review and appeal processes.
- Ensure quality assurance through documentation audits, feedback from parents, and staff performance reviews.
- Ensuring client assessments and reports are completed, reviewed, and submitted on time.
- Managing a minimal caseload.
- Assisting with the supervision of interns.
Fiscal Efficiency and Growth:
- Manage the clinical waitlist, including scheduling and conducting initial assessments and handling new client onboarding processes with the intake specialist.
- Completing initial assessments as needed and carrying a minimal caseload.
- Ensure all clinical staff are properly credentialed before service delivery, working with the billing team and intake specialist.
- Collaborate with management to communicate and monitor performance expectations for utilization and appointment conversions.
Ethics, Compliance, and Safety:
- Equip and oversee the Clinical Leadership Team with the necessary policies, procedures, and strategies to maintain a safe clinic environment and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Conduct investigations into complaints or allegations of ethical wrongdoing and prepare written reports as necessary.
- Ensure confidential handling of complaints and allegations and provide processes for addressing employee issues related to ethics or conflicts.
Culture and Human Resource Efficiency:
- Foster an environment that aligns with the center’s core operating principle
- Collaborate with timely performance review process and implementation.
- Act as the corrective authority for clinical staff issues related to compliance and safety, involving the Executive Director when necessary.
- Identify and develop clinical staff poised for leadership roles within the organization.
Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills with at least two years of experience supervising and directing teams(preferably in a clinical setting).
- Highly organized, proactive, and goal-oriented with excellent conflict management and resolution skills.
- Ability to work with large data sets and devise practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Google Suite and Practice Management software
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to the core values of Sallyz Center for Autism.
- Handle confidential matters related to the practice and ensure all staff know the importance of protecting confidential information.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and operate a standard computer for prolonged periods, occasionally stand and walk, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Doctorate or Master’s Degree preferred
- BCBA-D or BCBA Certification and in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Experience providing supervision to BCBAs, RBTs, and supervision students
- Experience working in a clinical setting
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to delegate and empower teams.
