Position Overview :
Salmon Creek Post Acute and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Restorative Aide to join our team. The Restorative Aide will work closely with residents, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals to support individualized care plans that promote recovery, improve functional independence, and enhance overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist residents with restorative therapy programs, including mobility, strength training, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Support residents in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) to encourage functional independence and recovery.
- Document residents' progress and any changes in their condition during therapy sessions and daily activities.
- Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary care team, including physical, occupational, and speech therapists, nursing staff, and physicians, to update and refine care plans.
- Provide one-on-one support and encouragement to residents during restorative exercises and activities.
- Assist in monitoring residents' response to therapy, and report any concerns or adverse reactions to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents during all restorative sessions and activities.
- Educate residents and family members on the benefits and importance of restorative care to encourage active participation in rehabilitation programs.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and other regulatory standards while delivering care.
