What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Specialist position at Salmon River Manufacturing?
Responsibilities:
- Using small and large scales to weigh proper measurements for chemicals in batches.
- Completing documentation & labeling for orders.
- Cleaning Pots & work area when required.
- Completing PH, viscosity and any other testing needed for products.
- Follow all safety procedures & use of proper PPE.
- Learning names & types of chemicals used to better understand process.
Skill/Qualifications/Requirements:
· Speaks English – with good communication skills.
· Self-motivated / Good time management skills.
· Basic math skills / use of scales and willing to learn different measurements.
· Experience with computers using Microsoft word & Excel.
· You can lift up to #50 repetitively.
· Fast and flexible learner.
· Attention to detail & document control.
· Understanding of manufacturing environment & willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
· Flexibility to handle last-minute changes based on customer demand.
· Pallet jack experience required.
· Willing to work with very hot and cold chemicals & environment.
· Work well with others, can be team player.
Assist in laboratory tasks as needed, supporting research and development efforts.
