What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cocktail Server position at Salt Cellar Restaurant?
Cocktail Server is responsible for serving appetizers and drinks to all bar guests in a prompt and friendly manner, as well as providing drink service to dining room guests. Shifts begin between 3:45 and 5:00pm and shifts run through volume. Bar hours are from 4pm-12:00AM.
The Salt Cellar is a well known landmark restaurant, family owned and operated for 42 years.
Job Responsibilities:
- Completing sidework duties before and after shift, including stocking work areas, light cleaning and inventory.
- Greeting guests in a timely manner and providing accurate knowledge of house cocktails, wine and spirits offered.
- Bussing bar seating and clearing glassware from dining rooms.
- Serving appetizers to bar patrons, ability to accurately describe all appetizers and accommodate guests with dietary restrictions.
- Ability to work in a team in order to provide seamless guest experience.
- Providing accurate and timely communication with waitstaff regarding tables, drinks and/or issues with such.
- Follow all AZ State liquor laws and procedures as well as proper ID protocol.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in fine dining preferred, but willing to train the right candidates.
- Previous restaurant experience required.
- Knowledge of general cocktails, wine and spirits.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
- Arizona food handlers card and Title IV liquor card
- Night time availability, no day shifts.
- Ability to stand for shift, approx. 7 hours.
