JOB SUMMARY
The Campus Safety Coordinator (CSC) assists schools in providing intervention services for at-risk students by building positive relationships with students and leveraging those relationships to fully engage students in the learning environment. The primary focus of the CSC is to work collaboratively with staff and students to promote a positive learning climate by overseeing the safety of the school campus, monitoring attendance, enforcing truancy prevention programs and disciplinary policies, reporting pertinent information to appropriate school administrators, and supporting administrative and / or campus activities. The CSC will consistently promote the expectation of high achievement for all students by providing preventive support and is responsive to referrals for students who are experiencing persona, social, or academic barriers to regular school attendance.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
All positions require selected candidates to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check. Additional minimum required qualifications for this position are :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid certification obtained within 3 months from date of hire
- Speak, read, write, present professionally, analyze, understand, and interpret written and verbal communications in English
- Basic experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Valid Utah Driver's License and evidence of insurability

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands : some lifting (up to 30 pounds), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, bending reaching, crouching, crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 40% walking, and 50% standing. The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment under some temperature variations due to indoor and outdoor responsibilities.
