The Faculty Services Team is part of Salt Lake Community College’s (SLCC) division of People and Workplace Culture (PWC). The mission of Faculty Services is to support SLCC’s strategic goals by creating an ethical and welcoming environment for all employees and applicants. The Faculty Services Team provides expert support in faculty employment, on-boarding, compensation, and recruitment. We serve as a trusted partner to academics and an advocate for the college’s mission and values. The Faculty Services Department is committed to delivering outstanding customer service to both the college community and its faculty.
As Faculty Employment Support you will report to the Faculty Services Manager, you will support the Department of Faculty Services hiring processes, on-boarding, orientation, training end users of HRIS and ATS systems, maintaining accurate employee data and personnel files, and providing excellent customer service to internal college departments, applicants, and vendors. To succeed in this role, you should be able to perform under pressure deadlines, confident public speaking experience, comfortable in training situations, supporting change management initiatives, being adaptable in a constantly changing environment, intermediate computer skills, and excellent business relations. A successful candidate will ensure collaboration and professional relationships with the Budget Office, Payroll Office, Provost Office, and all academic administration leadership. As a team member you will abide by all college and academic policies and procedures, faculty compensation, and workload policies. You will promote “People and Workplace Culture” initiatives, fostering an environment of safety, equity, inclusion, and belonging for all employees. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, college departments, and internal staff. Ensure Accurate Data of all employee records in all systems and personnel files. Maintain confidentiality of employment and personal data as required.

Responsibility and Accountability for the following areas :
Faculty Employment, Recruitment, and On-boarding Support :
- Applicant Support : Help applicants utilize College systems and answer their questions regarding the hiring process. Address any concerns from applicants, hiring managers, etc. in a timely manner.
- Conduct or facilitate background checks and drug screens.
- Track and collect transcripts from Adjunct faculty to meet accreditation requirements
- Assist in developing and presenting in faculty orientation as needed.
- Processing hiring paperwork and maintaining accurate employee records.
